Biography
Bram Schouw was born on 1979 in The Hague, The Netherlands. After
graduating high school he traveled from Panama to Mexico, armed with
the old Minolta camera of his father and a simple notebook. The pictures
and short stories brought him to the Utrecht School of Arts. In July
2005, he graduated with honors in Writing and Directing Cinema.
His final short film, Marriage, was the official opening film for
the Curta Cinema Rio de Janeiro. It was also shown in festivals such
as London Times Film Festival, The Netherlands Film Festival, Short
Film Festival Cardiff and Cinema Jakarta. In 2007 he co-directed
the play Backspace for the festival Cinema et Justice,
organized by the French Embassy. At the moment Bram Schouw works as a commercial
director, represented by Hazazah Film Amsterdam. One of his first projects, the
international Dance 4 Life commercial, won the prestigious Award for Best Hiv/Aids
Commercial by the European Commission.
