Biography
Charles de Meaux (Istanbul 1967, lives in Paris and Bangkok). An
eclectic filmmaker with a scientific background, De Meaux is an artist,
producer (amongst others, he produced Apichatpong Weerasethakul masterpieces
Blissfully Yours and Tropical malady) and co-founder in 1998 of Anna
Sanders Films together with Pierre Huyghe, Philippe Parreno and
the associazione per la diffusione dell’arte contemporanea (X. Douroux,
F. Gautherot) later joined by Dominique Gonzalez–Foerster. Attracted
by the imagery of science fiction, rock and non-orthodox narration,
De Meaux has made videos, short and full length films presented at
the most important international events and festivals.
